Day 3 - Forge-Les-Eaux
We left Dieppe at about 10.15 and made our way to the start of the 'Avenue Verte',
the traffic-free cycle route to Paris, partly based on an old rail route. It was
an excellent track, very smooth and hill-free so we were able to bowl along easily
enough. The weather was overcast most of the day, with a few light showers but
seemed a bit less hypothermic than the previous couple of days.

A Frenchman on a bike |
Along the route I stopped to take a photo and took my helmet off. Forgot to put
it back on so when I subsequently set off on the bike the helmet fell off the back
and managed to hurl itself under the back wheel... CRACK. Helmet is now broken
at the front. Never mind, suppose it's still better than nothing, probably.

A leisurely 36.7 miles today, rolling in to Forge-Les-Eaux at about 4.20.
