Cycling the Seine à Velo

En route to Les Andelys

This year Andrew and I thought it would be nice to ride the bikes down the Seine, from Paris to Le Havre, then simply get the ferry back to England. Unfortunately the scoundrels at Brittany Ferries don't allow bikes on their boats on the Le Havre to England route so we came up with a Plan B: take the DFDS (more eco-friendly company) ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe, ride inland as far as Paris then return along the Seine to the sea at Le Havre. There we could get a TRS train from Le Havre to Dieppe and the DFDS ferry back to Blighty.

And this is how it went:

Day 1   -  Home to Newhaven
Day 2   -  Newhaven to Dieppe
Day 3   -  Dieppe to Forge-Les-Eaux
Day 4   -  Forge-Les-Eaux to Gisors
Day 5   -  Gisors to Boisemont
Day 6   -  Boisemont to La Roche Guyon
Day 7   -  La Roche Guyon to Les Andelys
Day 8   -  Les Andelys to Poses
Day 9   -  Poses to Conihout de Jumiege
Day 10   -  Conihout de Jumiege to St-Aubin-Sur-Quillebeuf
Day 11   -  St-Aubin-Sur-Quillebeuf to Le Havre
Day 12   -  Le Havre to Dieppe
Day 13   -  Dieppe to Newhaven
Day 14   -  Newhaven to Home
