This year Andrew and I thought it would be nice to ride the bikes down the Seine, from Paris to Le Havre, then simply get the ferry back to England. Unfortunately the scoundrels at Brittany Ferries don't allow bikes on their boats on the Le Havre to England route so we came up with a Plan B: take the DFDS (more eco-friendly company) ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe, ride inland as far as Paris then return along the Seine to the sea at Le Havre. There we could get a TRS train from Le Havre to Dieppe and the DFDS ferry back to Blighty. And this is how it went:
