Day 12 – Dieppe
Another fine day and not much to do but get back to Dieppe by train in time for
tomorrow's ferry. Decent breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express then we called in
at a Carrefour supermarket to pick up a few things before making our way over to
the Gare de Le Havre.
Le Cours de la Republique on a fine Tuesday morning |
Railway station at Le Havre |
We caught the 10.32 train to Dieppe, changing at Rouen, and it was a nice smooth
trip with no problems - the French trains are very good, or at least all the ones
I've tried so far have been.
Getting off the train at Dieppe |
Dieppe seems a lot nicer this time round, possibly because this time it isn't
freezing cold and raining.
Dieppe marina... |
...and bars |
Had a very nice veg korma at the Taj Mahal restaurant then the usual beers and
crib using a new pack of French playing cards. The king is a 'Roi', the Queen is
a 'Dame' and the Jack is a 'Valet' (no, not a varlet).
The bar at closing time |
Dieppe harbour at night |
1.45 miles ridden today.
