Day 13 – Newhaven
Back in the UK 3.00 local time after an easy passage. Border formalities minimal
at both French and British ends, perhaps I don't look like an international
villain. Sea very calm, weather fine.

Nearing Newhaven |
Newhaven very busy, lots of traffic and fumes - maybe we arrived at the outbound
ferry loading time. B&B is about a mile out of town in Celandine Way.
Later went onto town and got a supermarket cheese and onion sandwich, peanuts
and tiramisu for dinner, a finely balanced meal by anyone's standard. A cheap
(£3.30) pint of Theakston's mild at the White Hart and a pint of London Pride at
the Ship Hotel then it was a trudge up the long hill out of town back to the B&B,
with just the train journey home tomorrow still to do.
Just 3 miles today.
Goodnight... zzz
